The first battery-powered tram system and the first rail project of its kind in Qatar.

The line is 11.5 km long and connects the various facilities within Education City. The system contains an 800 m tunnel under the Dukhan Highway and an elevated section (viaduct) of approximately 1.2 km.

Powered by on board super capacitors and batteries allowing the tram to charge at the 24 tram stops and stations that service the line.
